Health Ministry's Joint Secretary Love Aggarwal said that the total recovery rate is currently 25.18 percent and it is increasing continuously. This is a positive sign. He told that two weeks ago the recovery rate was 13 percent.

He told that so far 8324 patients have been cured with coronavirus. At the same time, the figure of corona infected has crossed 33 thousand, and more than 1000 people have died. He told that the cases of Kovid-19 are doubling in 11 days now whereas in the 3.4 days before the lockdown.

He said that the current death rate of Kovid-19 in India is 3.2 percent, of which 65 percent are male and 35 percent are female. The Health Ministry said that for the last 5 days, an average of 49 thousand tests is being done every day. There were 58, 686 tests yesterday. Along with this, it has been written to the states that the treatment of non-Covid patients should also be taken into consideration.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has indicated to some extent that the lockdown will continue even after May 3, but will be relaxed in many districts where the corona cases are negligible, given the rescue. The ministry also released a press release last night, stating that the lockdown needs to be strictly followed by May 3 to prevent the corona from spreading.
